As regulars to this blog will have realised, I didn’t have an internet connection in Portugal last week but I’m going to post each day’s events on (mostly) the days that they occurred.
Our flight was due to leave just after 12 noon, an unusually civil time for one of our trips which seem to mostly depart at silly o’clock in the morning. The fire alarm kept going off at Gatwick so we were held up for an hour or so.
On arrival at Faro airport we found out that someone had rather inconsiderately written-off our mini-bus that morning and we had to moan a lot before they gave in found a replacement – the girls were looking a little fed up by now and hungry.
The villa was very nice when we got there, although a little closer to the golf course than we had been promised, so there were a lot of golfers in the Algarve the following week who got a little more than they had bargained for, most seemed happy though and we didn’t get any complaints.
